The Find My iPhone app and iCloud are both tools provided by Apple that can be used to locate, lock, and/or erase a mobile device.  iCloud is a website that can be used on any electronic device with internet access while Find My iPhone is a downloadable app for Apple devices that can one can use to find, lock, or erase other Apple devices.  Find My iPhone must be set up on your mobile device in order for the app or iCloud to be able to locate it.  To learn more about these tools, see the Find My iPhone help page.
