Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides now offer you an option to build your document based on a template, allowing you to focus more on the content itself and taking care of the formatting with a few clicks. You have the option to choose from a variety of documents, spreadsheets or presentations based on a library of pre-designed templates for newsletters, invoices, case studies, etc. Note that this is currently only available in English.

You can access this feature by going to the Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides home screens. You can even create your own templates, or access your old ones at

22 new themes are also now available in slides to help make your content look nicer. Some of these “new” themes are simply updated versions of old themes while there are several that are completely new. Presentations containing the old themes will remain unaffected.
