This solution shows you how to set auto lock settings on your iPhone or iPad. This feature, when set, automatically locks the device’s screen after a set length of time, given as: 2, 5, 10, and 15 minutes, or Never.

Go to:  Settings > General > Auto Lock (Tap on desired time)

1.) Tap on Settings  from the homescreen

2.) Tap on General

3.) Tap on Auto-Lock

4.) Tap on the desired length of time: 2 MinutesNOTE: if your iPad/iPhone is inactive for 2 minutes, the screen will automatically go into lock-mode and you will have to provide a passcode to unlock it ( Assuming you set a passcode) or just press on the home button and swipe the slider to get back to using the device (if no passcode is set).
