1. Access your Bmail Inbox through myBucknell or by directly logging into bmail.bucknell.edu
  2. Click the gear icon and select Mail Settings

  3. Click Accounts tab
  4. In the Send mail as: section select Add another email address you own.

  5. In the pop-up window, fill the Name and Email address fields and click Next Step.
  6. NOTE:  If the email address you are adding does not belong to you, that is, you use it to send emails on behalf of someone else, uncheck the box marked treat as an alias.
  7. On the next screen you will be asked to verify your ownership of the email address you entered. Click Send Verification to proceed.

  8. Close the pop-up window and return to your Bmail Inbox. You should receive an email titled ‘Bucknell University Confirmation…’ Open this e-mail and follow the instruction within to activate your friendly email address for use within Bmail. When you have received a confirmation that the email address has been successfully confirmed, return to the Bmail Inbox.
  9. Click the gear icon and select Mail Settings
  10. Click Accounts tab
  11. In the Send mail as: section click the make default link corresponding to your friendly email address.
  12. TIP: Based upon which option you select from the When Replying to a Message selection, you can make it so that your reply comes from the email address they emailed or from your default ‘Friendly Address.’

NOTE: Bmail allows you to select the ‘from’ address each time you compose an email by choosing an address from the drop-down list. If you would like to change the ‘reply-to’ address without changing the default ‘from’ address, click Select a different ‘reply-to’ address option in step 5 and list your friendly address in both email address fields. Follow steps 6-8, and skip steps 9 and 10.
