First, if you’re on campus, you want to connect to the bucknell.edu wireless network.

iOS

We recommend using the Gmail app for accessing your Bucknell email on your iPhone or iPad.

Download the Gmail app from the App Store. Open the app and log in with your Bucknell email address (including the @bucknell.edu), then click on Sign in. You may be prompted to sign in to our blue and white CAS screen, similar to what you’d see if you signed in to myBucknell – you will need to sign in with your username and password and then authenticate with Duo.

You will then be taken to your Inbox or Important mail folder. You can click on the hamburger  icon to change folders or switch accounts.

You can then install the Google Calendar app from the App Store.

Open the Google Calendar app and log in with your Bucknell email address (including the @bucknell.edu) for the username and click then Sign in. You may need to click Add a Google account if you are not prompted to sign in. If you already have the Gmail app then it may log into your calendar automatically.

You can add other accounts, such as your personal Gmail calendar, or you can click on Get Started.

Security – iPhones

The following security features must be enabled on your University provided iPhone:
1. Set a passcode that you must enter each time you turn on or wake up your iPhone.
 Go to Settings >Touch ID >Passcode and enter a 6-digit passcode, then enter
the passcode again to verify it. To increase security, turn off Simple Passcode
and use a longer passcode with a combination of numbers, letters, punctuation,
and special characters. A Biometric Lock is acceptable,

2. Erase data after ten failed passcode attempts.
 Go to Settings > Touch ID > Passcode and touch Erase Data. After ten failed
Passcode attempts, all settings are reset, and all your information and media are erased. Data protections should also be enabled.

3. Set Autolock
 Go to Settings > Display > Brightness > Auto-Lock to 3 minutes

This helps you locate and secure your iPhone using the free Find My iPhone app on another devices web browser signed in to www.icloud.com You will be able to view the approximate location of your iPhone on a map, send a message or play a sound, remote passcode lock and remote wipe.
