The following instructions are for connecting the equipment (Linksys switch and Set Top Box) for use with a television. See the diagram below for additional assistance. Before doing anything, you will need to register your Set Top Box and you and your roommates will need to register for content on Banner Web - if you haven't done this, you will not be able to enter your registration number after the 4th step of the process. - Disconnect the ethernet cable from the back of your computer. The cable should remain connected to the wall.
- Connect the ethernet cable coming from the wall jack to the Uplink port on the Linksys Switch.
- Connect an ethernet cable from Port 1 on the Linksys switch to your computer (for regular network access).
- Connect an ethernet cable from Port 2 on the Linksys switch to the RCA Set Top Box (for BUTV).
- Connect the Audio/Video Cables from the Red/White/Yellow Out connections on the RCA Set Top Box to the Red/White/Yellow In connections on your television.
Note: Older televisions may not have this type of connection. A coaxial cable, which can be purchased at Radio Shack or Wal-Mart, can also be connected to the RCA Set Top Box. You will also need to purchase an RF modulator at Radio Shack.
- Make sure that the power cords to the RCA Set Top Box and the Linksys switch are both plugged in. Be sure to use the power adaptors that came with Set Top Box and the Linksys switch.

If you have everything connected properly, your TV should go through 4 steps. After the system completes all four steps, it will prompt you to enter your registration number. Use your remote to enter your registration number. After you enter your registration number, your BUTV should be working properly. Your TV input needs to set to AUX, Video 1, Video 2 or Game, not channel 3 or 4. Back of the Decoder (Set Top Box)
